「 ひと月に三十五日、 雨が降る 」と語られる屋久島では、
雨は特別な現象ではなく、日常そのものである。
山に降り注いだ雨は、森を潤し、川となって海へと流れ、
やがて雲となり、再び島へ還ってくる。
その循環の中に建築をそっと埋めてみる。
水面に落ちた雨粒が波紋を生み、やがて共鳴し合うように、
屋久島の環境と建築の共鳴を目指し、
この島の時間とともに美しく佇む建築空間を提案する。

On Yakushima, often described as
“a place where it rains thirty-five days a month,”
rain is not an extraordinary phenomenon, but part of everyday life.
Rain falling on the mountains nourishes the forest,
flows into rivers, reaches the sea,
and eventually returns again to the island as clouds.
This project gently embeds architecture within
this endless cycle of water.
Like raindrops falling onto the water’s surface,
creating ripples that resonate with one another,
the architecture seeks to resonate with Yakushima’s environment.
It proposes an architectural space that will stand quietly and beautifully,
growing with the passage of the island’s time.
